Bukit Lawang tourism object is located around 96 Km from Medan. The tourist area located at the eastern end of Gunung Leuser National Park has dense forests, rivers with heavy currents and wild life that are very interesting to visit.

The Bukit Lawang Visitors Center was built by an international environmental agency, World Wild Fund (WWF) and this place presents various examples of flora and fauna found in Gunung Leuser National Park and an explanation of orangutan rehabilitation programs.
